Michigan to visit Uncle Chris

We went to visit Uncle Chris and he took us to a Buick Museum in Flint. We got to sit in this old Buick (1902, I think). We weren't supposed to touch the rest of the cars, so Ryan spent a lot of time playing in this one.

Ryan and I slept on an air mattress in the spare guest bedroom. Before we left on Sunday, we SQUASHED the air out it - Ryan thought that was tons of fun!

Easter

Thanks to Sarah & Josh for hosting! We were very lucky with the weather and were able to enjoy lots of fun in the sunshine.

Julie, Scott & Logan were here from Florida! Doug, Abby, Angie, Logan, Scott, Julie, Gail and Jerry

This crew was coordinated! Lookin' good! Tom, Amada, Bella, Tom & Peggy

This egg is BLUE! I hope it has M&Ms inside.....

The 2nd cousins all lined up after the egg hunt

Jack and Abby got the award for finding the most eggs.

Ryan found a special egg with his name on it!

Easter Activities

At first Ryan didn't want to color eggs (he's in a defiant mode right now), but after we got started, he had a great time.

Check out the orange cracked egg in front. When I put the first egg in the color tub, Ryan was very worried that it would crack. He asked me several times, "Mom, is the egg going to crack?" I kept telling him no, it will be ok. But while I was taking this orange egg out of the color tub, it slipped, the egg rolled across the table and fell on the floor (CRACK!). I made a funny noise when it happened (eeegghhh!) and Ryan thought it was soooo funny.

The night before Easter, we went to meet the Easter Bunny. Ryan still remembers that the Bunny's house looked like a Basket!

Kim's Birthday

For Mom's birthday, Dad and Ryan baked cupcakes. Ryan helped by lining the pan with the cupcake papers!

Katie's Bridal Shower

On March 22, the Springborn cousins (and cousin-in-laws!) hosted a Bridal Shower for Katie and Dave. I was supposed to host, but when I broke my ankle, Aunt Jenny was nice enough to host instead.

We had a wine theme and asked everyone to bring a bottle of wine with their gift. Katie & Dave took home more than 20 bottles! Each guest signed a tag and their bottle was "assigned" to a special occasion for Katie & Dave - first night in their new home, first Christmas, first Baby, 4th of July, etc. It was a lot of fun!

Happy Birthday Ayden & Dontre!

March 21 was a busy day! We went to 2 birthday parties - for Ayden & Dontre, both turning 3. Unfortunately I never took any pics at Dontre's train party, but did take some at Ayden's gymnastics party.

Another Dad & Ryan Fieldtrip - A Trip on the People Train

While Mom was at her scrapbook weekend, Ryan & Dad took a trip on the Metra train (aka the people train). Ryan can classify the trains we see on the tracks....freight train or people train.

They left from the Ge-ne-va station and rode into Chicago. Then they took a bus to Navy Pier, had a snack there and rode the bus back to the station. Then they rode the train to the train restaurant (Two Toots) in Glen Elyn and had lunch. They got back on the train and rode to Geneva. Unfotunately the Thomasville store in Geneva was closed when they got there!

It was a big trip! - I was tired just hearing about it.

A New Hobby

Ryan has discovered puzzles! He has a Lighting McQueen puzzle, Pooh & Tigger, & 3 foot Thomas Train puzzle.

He wants Dad to help him, but Dad doesn't need to do any of the work! Ryan can do it all by himself.

Very focused.....

This is the big Thomas puzzle!

Dad & Ryan Fieldtrip - The Shedd

In February, Jason took Ryan to the Shedd Aquarium. Lots to see and do!

They have this neat rowboat....

And LOTS of fish to see!......

And Ryan wanted his picture taken by the Chicago shoreline. Looks like a beautiful day!, except it was a bit chilly.

Ski Weekend in Wisconsin

I'm very behind with my blog updates, so here goes....

At the end of January, we made our annual trek to Wisconsin with family/friends for ski weekend at Cascade. We stayed in the Dells. This year, I had a REALLY good excuse not to ski (in addition to being pregnant).....I slipped on the wet floor and broke my ankle the sunday before we left. Ryan and I were very fortunate that Jessica and Haley were along for the trip and played with us at the hotel pool on Saturday and Sunday while the others were skiing.

Haley was such a good friend! - she played in the pool with Ryan all day and shared all her toys.

20 week ultrasound

Having trouble with scanner, but will post ultrasound pictures soon.

Boy or girl? We will find out in August!
