Chuck E. Cheese's

Ryan went to his first birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese's this weekend. Cousin Dontre, on the Murr side, was turning 2. Ryan didn't use any of his tokens. He was satisfied to run around and push the flashing buttons on all the games. I misplaced Jason at one point (the place was packed!) and you won't believe where I found him.

Aunt Nancy made this Yo Gabba Gabba cake and here's the birthday boy -

Dad and Ryan went swimming this week!

Our weekend project

Jason's Uncle Howard came this weekend to help us install a backsplash in our kitchen. Here's a Be-fore-boring picture.

First we hung the tiles....

Then we let the tiles sit over night....

Then we added the grout...

And here's the finished product...and whoever said that I'm afraid of color?!

And then Ryan and I rested while Dad made dinner. It was a fun project and now I'm ready to tile the rest of the house. Thanks to Uncle Howard for all his help!

It's about time!

We've been in our house for almost 2.5 years and the only room we've painted is Ryan's......until this weekend. I took advantage of Jason being off work to paint the powder room. Most of you won't be surprise at the color - dusted plum. Ryan took a try at climbing the ladder. Stay tuned for more house updates...I'm motivated.

Aquatots

Ryan had his first Aquatots swim class on Saturday. Jason was off work, so he went along as our photographer. We sang songs and played in the water. Ryan's favorite part of class was playing with a small beach ball (he loves balls right now). Mom's favorite part of class was singing 'motorboat, motorboat.' Dad's favorite part of class was....when it was over. aww geesh!

We're at the bottom right corner of the circle
