2nd Annual Train Adventure

We went on our 2nd annual Amtrak adventure last weekend. We took the Metra from Naperville to CUS (Chicago Union Station) and then transferred to an Amtrak which took us to Springfield. On the way home, we got off in Joliet and Grandma/pa's Taxi Service picked us up. It was a fun (and interesting) adventure!

We had hoped to take Gram & Poppy's boat to Lake Clinton (where Uncle Chris was camping) but the weather did NOT cooperate. So we went to the Illinois State Museum instead.

Here we are on the Springfield platform, waiting for our train. Notice the Capital building in the background. For all you Northerners, Springfield is the Capital of Illinois!

On our return trip home.....Ryan was hiding from this picture, so Dad bribed him with a trip to the Dining Car to get some M&Ms!
