St Louis!

We spent last weekend in St. Louis with the grandparents....Cubs v. Cards at Busch Stadium on Saturday and Grant's Park on Sunday. The Cubbies were not victorious (where was their offense?!), but it was a fun weekend with the family. The weather was awesome! - 85 and sunny. It was hard to come home to rain, rain and more rain.
Our first visit to the new Busch stadium. Nice park! even if it is in St. Louis.

The view from our seats.....the Arch and clear blue skies.

Beth and Rich came from Cardondale for the game!

Three Cubbie fans!

The covered bridge leading to Grant's Farm

A historic Bud wagon in the stables.

The map said that we should take a picture at this location.

Ryan did NOT like riding the carousel, so we rode together (is there a weight limit on this thing?)

Another photo opportunity at the Clydesdale stables
Hello, Mr. Buffalo. Where are your wings?
A real, live Budweiser Clydesdale!....or is it an InBev horse?

Ryan's first trip to the Loop

Ryan went with Jason and his two co-workers on a downtown adventure. The Art Institute. Grant Park. Millenium Park. He has now officially been to the Loop. Thanks to Jason's friend Steve for the pics!

Welcome Annika!

Ryan has a new cousin! Annika Audrey Murr was born at 5:52 a.m. on Saturday April, 18....7 lbs 11 oz and 20.5 inches. Big Sister Nikki is 10 years and 364 days older :)

Too bad she's in Arizona...but the good thing is that we're going to meet her in 4 weeks!

I tried to borrow a picture from the hospital site, but can't get it to work. In the meantime, here's a link:

Happy Easter!

Ryan received a basket full of treats, but he was most interested in the M&Ms ("m-m"). He spent several minutes distributing the chocolate bunnies, etc. between Jason and I. Not sure what that was about.
We had Easter dinner and a giant egg hunt (250 eggs!) with Jason's family. Again, Ryan was more interested in the m-m s that were in the eggs, than finding more eggs.

This was our best attempt at a group shot of the cousins. My kid wouldn't sit still. Amanda, Bella, Jack, Logan, Abby, Ryan and Matt

I found one and it's "buu!" Everything is blue to Ryan right now.

Later all the kids went to the park. Ryan loves the swings and the slide!

Oh yea...another home improvement project

Jason didn't think that I gave him any credit for our project last Sunday. Shelves in the family room. Now I need to find some pictures to fill them.

Mom, how come we've never played with this stuff before?

3-0

It's official! I am now a mature adult.....that's right, the big three -oh. We had a small gathering at our house to celebrate. The guys played a mean game of poker and the ladies and the munchkins played, played, played (Mike, I guess we'll count you as a lady?)

Cousin Julie and Logan were here from Florida, so they were able to come for the party!

Grrrr....putting on their poker faces. Looks like a friendly neighbor game to me.
